This was my favorite book yet in the series! M.E Roche outdid herself this time! I read this book all in one day racing to the finish! Havoc at Harrison Hospital is a thrilling, intricate and delectably suspenseful novel with a subtle hint of romance. It keeps you alert and on the edge of your seat trying to compile the facts to figure out who did it and why. I think this is a great book for young readers because it not only gives you a detailed and honest description of nursing from a first hand source, but it also makes you use your brain while having fun. The mystery is complex and convoluted. In this book, you explore the twists and turns, the dead ends and the tangible danger of finding the murderer right alongside Nora Brady. M.E. Roche’s main characters were fully developed, dynamic and were easy to relate to and become friends with. It felt like I was part of the team, involved in solving the mystery. Nora’s brave, yet sometimes foolhardy, independent and dedicated nature to do what is right, gave me the chance to be someone else for a little time while reading this book. It is always rewarding to read about someone with such exemplary qualities that inspire you to cultivate them in yourself. Young readers should enjoy this original and rousing novel about a nurse who gets a little more than she bargains for.
